The world we will cover
From the Bosphorus to Borneo.
Muslim life is lived on every continent, in great cities and small towns, in deserts, on coasts and in the mountains. That is where the stories are.
In production
What we are making
Six kinds of story, made to be watched, looked at and read. Longer pieces will sit beside a steady run of shorter ones.
-
Travel documentaries
Hosted journeys, filmed on location, with a full-length special each quarter.
-
Destination guides
Where to go, what to see, and what it is like to be there as a Muslim traveller.
-
Photo essays
Cities, landscapes and everyday life, through the eyes of photographers who know them.
-
People and interviews
Conversations with remarkable people, in their own words.
-
Culture and features
The stories behind the places: what was built, what is made, what is kept.
-
Writing
Thoughtful articles that take their time and get the details right.
The flagship
Four journeys a year.
At the centre of Muslimedia will be a travel special each quarter: professionally produced, hosted on location, and given the time a place deserves. Between them, shorter films, photographs and articles will keep the stories coming.
- Q1January to March
- Q2April to June
- Q3July to September
- Q4October to December
Who it is for
For everyone.
For Muslim audiences, a place to see themselves and one another. For everyone else, a way in to the depth and variety of Muslim life around the world.
Who makes it
People who live there.
Our stories will come from a growing network of photographers, filmmakers, writers and local contributors, on the ground in the places they know best.
More soon.
Muslimedia is in development.
